Delta is running a flash sale to Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Taipei. Round-trip prices start at just 30,000 SkyMiles to Brisbane, 40,000 to Auckland, 50,000 to Hong Kong, and 58,000 to Taipei. If you have a Delta SkyMiles credit card, you can receive an additional 15% discount, dropping some awards as low as 25,500 miles round trip. Most of the availability to Asia is in August and September while availability to Australia and New Zealand is in November and December.

These prices are all for Basic Economy, but you can buy Main Classic for just 5,000-10,000 additional SkyMiles each way on most of these routes. We think the extra 10,000-20,000 miles round trip is worth it as Main Classic adds free award cancellations and redeposits, seat selection, a free checked bag, and Medallion upgrade eligibility. Even at 50,000-60,000 miles round trip, these awards cost less than many airline programs charge for a one-way economy ticket to this region.
