Chase Ink Business Premier Credit Card Review
Key Takeaways
For those who focus on cash back and have high-volume business spend, the Chase Ink Business Premier has some appeal. It offers a large $1,000 welcome bonus and 2.5% cash back on purchases over $5,000. But here's the catch: these rewards cannot be transferred to Chase Ultimate Rewards partners — even if you hold a Sapphire Reserve or Preferred. If you're here for travel rewards and maximizing points value, this card doesn’t fit the strategy.
Why This Card Could Be Right For You
The Chase Ink Business Premier is ideal for business owners who make frequent large purchases and want a simple, high-earning cash back structure without the need to navigate point transfers.
- Earn a $1,000 cash bonus after spending $10,000 in the first 3 months
- Get 2.5% cash back on purchases over $5,000
- Earn 2% cash back on all other purchases
- Comes with premium benefits like primary rental car coverage, purchase protection, cell phone insurance, and extended warranty coverage
When The Usual Advice Doesn't Apply
This card may not be right for you if you want to earn travel rewards — because cash back earned on this card cannot be converted into Ultimate Rewards points Or you prefer category-based multipliers (like those on the Ink Cash or Ink Preferred)
How The Chase Ink Business Premier Credit Card Fits In The Cash in Cents Ecosystem
There are four Chase Ink Business cards currently available, and the Ink Business Premier stands apart — for better or worse.
- It’s the only Ink card that does not allow transfers to Chase Ultimate Rewards partners
- It’s also the only Ink card with a high annual fee ($195)
- If you're looking for travel points, the Ink Business Preferred is a better fit—it has a $95 annual fee and allows direct transfers to travel partners
- The Ink Business Cash and Ink Business Unlimited are both no-annual-fee cards that earn cash back which can be converted to travel points when combined with a Sapphire card
My Experience, No Filter
We haven’t opened the Ink Business Premier — and probably won’t. While the upfront cash is nice, we’re in the hobby for the long-term value of points and travel rewards. This card doesn’t let us transfer rewards to Chase partners, and that’s a deal-breaker. That said, if you run a business with heavy monthly spending and just want straightforward cash back (and don’t care about airline miles or hotel points), this could be a decent fit. But for us, and most travel rewards folks, it’s a pass.
