Marriott Raises Top Off Limit to 25K Points

Marriott offers free night certificates on several of its credit cards, both as signup bonuses and ongoing perks. You can now top off those certificates with up to 25,000 additional Marriott Bonvoy points, making them more valuable and flexible. The previous limit was 15,000 points, so this is a welcome change.

Citi Decreases Transfer Ratio to Choice/iPrefer

Citi is devaluing transfer ratios to two of its hotel partners. The new transfer ratio to Choice Privileges will be 1:1.5, down from 1:2, while Preferred Hotels & Resorts iPrefer will drop to 1:2 from 1:4. The changes take effect April 19, 2026 for Citi Strata Elite, Citi Strata Premier, and Citi Prestige cardholders. This is a significant devaluation for Citi, which has been gaining ground among transferable points programs thanks to strong hotel partner sweet spots like these.

25% Bonus: Citi ThankYou to Avianca

Citi ThankYou Rewards is offering a 25% transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles. The standard transfer ratio is 1:1, so with the bonus, you’ll receive 1,250 Avianca LifeMiles for every 1,000 Citi ThankYou Rewards points transferred. A minimum transfer of 1,000 points is required. Offer expires April 18, 2026.
